"Mrreoow." A soft paw poked at your nose, and the cat's meow awoken you from your slumber.

You shook your head, swiping at your nose. You weren't ready to wake up yet; for you were having a great dream. The cat meowed again, and your eyes fluttered open.

The cat's face was right in front of your's, purring and it's bright sea blue eyes staring into your's. The tags jingled, and Loki rubbed his face against the hand that you held up. He seemed to smile and closed his eyes, letting you continue petting him. Your eyes diverged over to your alarm clock. It was only 8 AM, and it was a Saturday so you didn't have work. You stretched in your bed, beginning to tie your hair up in a bun, smiling as you looked over towards the window. The curtains were closed, and the window closed. Looking back at Loki, you saw that he was laying on his back now, his paws curled in the air, begging for more attention.

"You want more lovins?" You asked, scratching his tummy and rubbing over his neck. He let out a mrrrow of satisfaction, his tail swishing side to side in pure enjoyment. You giggled softly and picked him up, sitting up in your bed and cradling him like a baby again. You kissed the cat's forehead, ad scratched at his soft neck scruff. He licked your nose and purred loudly, nuzzling up against your chin.

The heaviness of sleep still clung to your eyelids, and you let out a short yawn, scratching your neck. You realized what time it was when you went to bed, and the time you had woken up. You had only gotten about a solid eight hours of sleep, aside from the twenty minutes you spent being up trying to make a cup of-

You suddenly remembered that you saw the person in your house last night, how cold it was, the burning color of his eyes. You stopped petting the cat, and he looked up at you, seeming to be concerned. That's impossible... You thought to yourself, shaking your head. There's no way in Hell Loki came into my house last night. He's been imprisoned to Asgard by his brother. Your hand found it's way back onto the cat, and you rubbed the velvet fur between beautifully pointed ears. It's ironic how the cat's name is what it is, too...

Loki continued to look up at you, and meowed a few times, trying to drive your attention away from thinking about the man in the reflection. He meowed again, getting up from his position in your arms. He jumped off of the bed, and began to meow, trying to get your attention. You crawled out of bed, picked up the jacket, and pulled it on.You opened your curtains on your way up, letting natural sunlight into the room for once. Your eyes looked over to the Stark building, and you thought more about the choice you've made to make a home here. You were living in a world where Superheros were real, as were Super Villains. Everyone knew that these things in science fiction, were no longer just stories and myths; they were reality.

You jumped slightly as the cat rubbed against your leg, and you looked down at him and sighed. "You're a bothersome little thing, aren't you?" You asked, following it as it proceeded into the kitchen. "Oh so you're hungry." You guessed as Loki jumped up on the kitchen counter, sitting down next to your coffee maker. "I guess I have to feed you." You opened up your refrigerator and pulled out another one of the vegetarian cat meals, which he seemed to enjoy so much. The tomcat licked his muzzle as a sign of wanting it, and you smiled, pulling out a small dish for his food to go onto. You poured the container into the dish, and filled another with water. He was eating in seconds, and you knew he was easy to please. You looked around your medium-sized kitchen, and thought about what you wanted to eat.

Unlike the cat, you were picky.

You simply settled on some cinnamon waffles with strawberries and maple syrup, adding the strawberry pieces generously. You leaned over the counter top next to the cat and ate your meal, attempting your best not to get any of the syrup on your clothes or worse; in your hair. The cat finished just before you did, and you put the cat's dishes in the sink. Might as well clean them before they pile up, you thought to yourself, running the water through the plates, mugs, and dishes. You then put them in the almost empty dishwasher. A perk of living alone; no one else can make a mess for you to clean up, the dishwasher doesn't get run often, plus the added fact that you took no one's crap for any of your normal habits.

Although, it did get lonely. But you figured the cat would be good enough company for you.

Loki sat and watched you clean the dished, licking his paws and grooming himself. You watched as he did so, merely hypnotized by the elegant strokes his tongue made against his black fur. As he started to slow down, he looked at you, his whiskers twitching.

"Meow."

You meowed back at him and he purred, jumping down off the counter and onto the tile floor below your feet, dancing between your legs as you walked into the living room.

"I guess I should call Dave about the thermostat," you proposed, talking to the cat as much as you were yourself. You walked over to the telephone, picking it up and speed-dialing the number 1, which was maintenance for your building. Your calls always got answered, considering you had Dave's cell and not work number. Although you hated to bother him early in the morning, you knew he'd be awake fixing a shower head, plunging a toilet, or even dirtier activities with other tenants issues. The apartment was nice, but the way these people treated their things made you feel like a Queen.

He picked up the phone after three rings, and you smiled at the quick response.

"What can I fix for you today, _______?" Dave asked, juggling the phone between his shoulder and ear.
"Hey, Dave, I had a problem with my thermostat last night, I was wondering if you could-"
"I'll be there in five minutes alright?" He stomped his foot on the the floor three times, and you could hear the banging just above your head. "I'm in the apartment just above you fixing a ceiling fan."
You smiled wildly, looking over at the cat, knowing you'd surprise him with it when he got there. "Alright, I'll be here."

You then hung up the phone after saying goodbye to him. You looked at Loki and smiled, the cat tilting his head and looking at you curiously. You seemed to fascinate him, that much was true, and he you.

"I need to get dressed," you bit your lip and ran into your bedroom, acting goofy. You jumped onto your bed and made your way to your dresser, which was on the other side. You opened up the drawer and pulled out a pair of jeans, your favorite pair, and then walked towards the closet. You threw the sliding door open, looking at your excessive amount of clothes.

"Hmm..." You thought to yourself, pulling sections of clothes apart to look at a particular shirt or outfit. You just settled on a plain white t-shirt, with a very large sweatshirt. You took your hair out of your bun, and it cascaded down on your shoulders like beautifully colored waves. You pulled out your mirror from the closet, and looked at your choices. You decided to pull your hair over both shoulders, combing it with your fingers. Today, it was straight, yet curly from the bun. You smiled, happy with what you had done.

"Meow." Loki stepped into the shot in the mirror, looking at your outfit and purring in approval.
"You like it?" You asked it, almost expecting an answer.
You looked down at the black cat, and he seemed to nod.
"Good." You walked into your very large bathroom, which was themed with black and white. The shower curtain was a collage of pictures of London, France, New York, and Japan. It had writing, which wasn't all that readable, and in large cursive had the names of some famous towns in those countries.

The fuzzy mat under your feet was black, and you stood in front of the sink, which was large, with a silver faucet. You looked at your face in the large mirror, figuring on what to do with it. Loki jumped up and sat on the counter that connected the sink to the wall. He meowed and you looked at him.

"What?" You asked him, widening your eyes and saying it in a weird voice. You looked over at your make-up box, and pulled out what you normally wore. You chose a light foundation, setting powder, a thin coat of eye liner, and mascara. You were happy that you now looked presentable. You picked up your chap-stick and applied it to your lips, making strange faces in the mirror as you did so.

You laughed and turned to Loki, who tilted his head. His eyes seemed to be asking you why you were wearing make-up, seeing as you probably didn't need it.

"Don't look at me that way," you laughed, turning the light off behind the cat. He meowed and jumped down off the counter, following you.

You walked into the living room and pulled your computer off of the coffee table, opening it and entering your password. You put your feet up on the table, and Loki came and sat down next to you, peeking up at your computer. Your wallpaper greeted you with the soft music it played during the start up. You clicked on your browser, and checked into your email.

There were fifteen unread messages, most of which being spam . You cleared out the junk mail and then entered an email from your boss, which stated you were gifted the little vacation you had been begging for. You were great at your job; your boss and co-workers enjoyed your company, you were happy you were delivered your paid vacation.

Wait a minute. You read the email again. "...enjoying your paid vacation!" Paid. Vacation. Inside, you squealed like a little girl, but on the outside you fist pumped and let out a quick, "Yes!"

The door was knocked on twice, and Loki got up and ran into your bedroom. You got up and walked towards the door.
**Loki, Iron Man, Tony Stark, The Avengers, and any other references belong to Marvel. I own all other characters introduced into this series.**

As none of you may know, the Dave character is dedicated to my father, whose going though a hard time with a divorce. I will later introduce another character, and that is for my friend who committed suicide a few months ago. R.I.P

This is my attempt at a Loki fan fiction because fuck me, right?
Right.

Could you please read and tell me what you think? I would enjoy some feed back on this. I think the first chapter is a little too long, but I guess that's just me.

Oh, and just an FYI, the song I listened to while writing this was: www.youtube.com/watch?feature=… I know it's an AMV, but still. I like to write with that playing in the background when I'm writing about Loki. I don't know why. It's a beautiful AMV, by the way. *totally not a sponsor/plug lolol*

So, yeah, tell me what you think.
I hope some people like it, considering I get little to no feedback on here. v.v
